Release Coordinator (Closed)
The Godot Foundation is seeking a release coordinator to join the release management team and to assist the project manager (Rémi Verschelde) with tasks related to organizing releases.
These tasks include:
- Assisting with the coordination of releases
- Managing stable point releases by cherrypicking commits from development branch
- Coordinating subject matter experts to review PRs
- Reviewing PRs to ensure quality
The objective for this role is to split various release management tasks with the project manager to ensure that Godot development scales with the size of its community. The exact split in tasks will depend on the skills and qualifications of the successful candidate.
Required skills include:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience contributing to FOSS projects.
- Used to working with a Pull/Merge Request workflow, receiving and giving technical feedback from/to peers.
- Capable of working independently and solving problems on your own before seeking assistance.
- Intermediate experience in C/C++.
Nice to have skills but not a requirement:
- Experience maintaining a FOSS project.
- Experience with cross-platform development.
- Experience working on game engine technology.
- Build systems and basic Python.
- CI pipelines (especially GitHub Actions).
- Low level programming.
Budget
The budget for this position is €45,000 - €70,000 per year with position in the range dependent on years of relevant experience. The Foundation is seeking someone with availability to work 40 hours per week, but is willing to accommodate for the right candidate.
This is a remote position as contractor, candidates must have the ability to work as an independent contractor in their country of residence. The Godot Foundation is based in the Netherlands.
